🎯 Mission:
Led by Recovery Specialist Josh Rosales, Royal Mentoring Group's focus is to empower youth in recovery by fostering connection, building trust, and providing peer-led support, education, and accountability in a safe, youth-centered environment.
Target Group
Youth ages 13–21 in recovery or actively seeking support for substance use challenges. This includes court-involved youth, students referred from schools, or those in transitional housing or treatment programs.
🔑 Core Pillars of the Program
1. Peer-Led Support Circles
Weekly sessions led by trained Peer Recovery Coaches (young adults with lived experience)
Topics: relapse prevention, healthy coping, relationships, managing emotions
Format: check-ins, guided discussion, skill practice, reflection
Trauma-informed, non-judgmental space
2. One-on-One Mentorship
Matched with a certified youth peer mentor
Bi-weekly sessions focused on goal setting, support, and accountability
Text/call check-ins between meetings
3. Creative Expression for Healing
Art, music, spoken word, journaling workshops
Helps youth process emotions and express identity
Monthly showcases or “Open Mic for the Mind”
4. Life Skills + Education Tracks
Weekly workshops or drop-in groups on:
Emotional regulation
Resume building & job prep
Financial literacy
Boundaries and communication
Nutrition & wellness in recovery
5. Family & Community Connection
Optional family support workshops
Community service days to reframe the purpose
